Unproductive Day in Korean American History

 Something Fun, Something New!

Hello! Thank you Konstantina for encouraging and inspiring me to start a blog. I have lots to say! I feel like this might be the equivalent to men wanting to start a podcast but this seems better (ofc).

I am currently in class called Korean American History which is normally pretty interesting but my professor is in a meeting so it’s a research day. I’m choosing to procrastinate which is a flaw of mine but I’m not too worried cause I’m having fun! I’m going to assume only my closest, dearest friends will be reading this so hey guys! I guess I’ll start by telling you about the updated Mags! As most, if not all, of you know, I’m in college! New and improved. College is really fun so far. Not only because of my new friends and fun events/parties, but because I can truly feel my brain growing.
In the middle of senior year, I became a book enjoyer! This came as a surprise to most people because I spent my whole life resenting the fact that I wasn’t a good reader. Luckily, Taylor Jenkins Reid wrote the wonderful ‘Daisy Jones and the Six’ and ‘The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo’, which locked me into reading. Now I make time to read every single day! My new friends see me as a reader! It’s absolutely fulfilling.
Another thing that has been weighing heavy in my mind is studying abroad! I was just explained the whole program and studying in England for a semester sounds very intriguing to me. I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about what I want to study and going to England feels right. It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity to study in England for the amount I’d be paying within the next two years.

Lalala Music! Spotify: Magsdumpling

- Ethel Cain

I was feeling a bit down last night so I made a playlist of the most gut wrenching Ethel Cain songs. My Spotify is Magsdumpling if you don’t already know. The playlist is called Famous Last Words. Named after my favorite Ethel Cain song.

- Take a Knife and Drain Your Lifeeeee

I really hate to admit but I cannot stop listening to drain gang. I’m just going to leave it at that and leave it here. I am not a self proclaimed drainer, but I do and will dabble.

-Mr.Pissman

I wrote a song with Oliver, Valentine, and Jacob called Pissman. We plan on preforming it at the next open mic. I’ll post a recording on instagram or something.

Movies! Letterboxd:Magsdumpling

- Raw
This movie is so good, so me coded. Oliver and Zoe told me to watch it because of my complex feelings about cannibalism and God. Maybe I should start getting into experimental horror. Oliver inspired me to have the goal of watching a lot of movies in college. It’s nice to wind down at night with a movie and friends.

Books! Good Reads: Mags Dumapit

-Bug Music: How Insects Gave Us Rhythm and Noise
Oliver sent me this book on Pinterest! I searched the 5 college library for this book and Mount Holyoke has it yayyyy! I’ve only read a little bit of it but I’m really enjoying it so far.
“Some hear bug music. Some hear people music. It depends in your ears”

-The Bone People
I am reallyyyy liking the writing style of this book. Not much to say about it cause I haven’t gotten to the meat of the book yet. All I can really point out is how poetic and beautiful it is.

Until Next Time!

Anyway, I’m picking up Vic from Boston tonight so we could spent Halloweekend together! Vic is exactly who I need to see right now and I can’t wait to see them! Thank you Adi for driving!
